In 2018, Valerie, the mother of two wonderful sons, was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare cancer of the liver bile ducts. It’s not resectable, meaning it cannot be removed. Valerie has been traveling nationwide in search of a treatment and has undergone numerous surgeries that have caused mounting medical and travel expenses. While in surgery on March 7th to receive her son’s liver, the surgeons found a spot that journeyed outside. Because of this, the transplant could not be performed. She says, “We’ll take it one day as it comes. Time will likely be limited but that doesn't mean I can't live it.” As she works with her doctors to plan the next steps of treatment, please help us help this incredibly strong warrior and her two amazing sons, Matt & Mitchell.
